Waldorf fonts is the work of a Latvian type designer Gustavs Grinbergs. Waldorf fonts are made in the style of classicism tradition, influenced by the traditional designs of Didot, Bodoni, and especially based on the letterforms of German typography and the types of German letter cutter Justus Erich Walbaum. The first part of the font name confirms the German roots of its genealogy. It is an attempt to create a beautiful and stylish family of fonts for 21st century as the classical Bodoni, Didot faces were modern in 18th and 19th centuries. The entire Waldorf family started in 2000-2002 with 6 upright and 6 italic Western styles from Light to Black. It was extended to Pro set in 2006-2007 with Small Caps, Cyrillic and Greek alphabets. Waldorf is suitable to be used for a wide range of application not limited to design and fashion magazines, catalogues, headlines. |
