Thank you for having purchased this type. We devote a huge effort in our typefaces both technically and creatively. We hope you enjoy this type and we encourage you to take the most advantage of all Perec styles.
Georges Perec (1936 - 1982). French poet, novelist, scientific documentalist, composer, lover of puzzles, film maker, and author of the most difficult crosswords, Georges Perec is one of the most original writers of the 20th century. Perec's uvre radiates an invigorating ludic sense, and his caustic, meticulous tales, naturally run across all literary genres and all epoques.
The type family Perec pays tribute to the genius of Georges Perec. Perec is a contemporary, sensitive sanserif grotesque that includes 15 text fonts: romans, italics, and small caps declined in five weights. Perec is a versatile family. It has a more delicate spirit than a normal grotesque, so it is more appropriate for big sizes where elegance and flair are a priority. Its strong resistance and counters' openness make it also very legible at small sizes. Its smooth color texture and range of weights allow for a pleasant reading experience.
Perec Ludique is a series of five display fonts: Ludique Cubes (a 3D font for crosswords puzzles); Ludique OncleJacques (tribute to the jeweller and pearls dealer Jacques Bienenfeld, great-uncle of Georges); Ludique Pochoir (a stencil); Ludique Scripte (a gentle script); and Ludique Scripte Swash (a florid version of the script).
There will be more additions to the Perec family.
