Deseret 2002 1.00
A freeware Deseret alphabet font. Since it occupies the Unicode 3.1 range $10400-$1044F, it is unaccessible to older implementations. Here we mapped the Deseret alphabet into the Latin-1 Unicode range. Arbitrarily, the transcription is as follows:
Long i = i; Long e = e; Long a = a;
Long ah = á; Long o = o; Long oo = u;
Short i = î; Short e = ê; Short a = â;
Short ah = à; Short o = ô; Short oo = û;
AY = ã; OW = õ; WU = w;
YEE = y; H = h; PEE = p;
BEE = b; TEE = t; DEE = d;
CHEE = c; JEE = j; KAY = k;
GAY = g; EF = f; VEE = v;
ETH = ð; THEE = þ; ES = s;
ZEE = z; ESH = š (s caron), q; ZHEE = (z caron), x;
ER = r; EL = l; EM = m;
EN = n; ENG = ñ.
The punctuation, digits and miscellaneous symbols are standard Latin glyphs. Note that existing Deseret samples also mix Roman numerals within the text.
The glyphs were extracted from James Kass' Code2001, an experimental Plane 1 Unicode 3.1 font. |

Not copyrighted by me in 2003...I just shifted some of the glyphs around so they could be easily typed out on a standard English keyboard. Just don't make money off of it, or those other two guys will come after you with an army of robotic ninjas...or something. Copyright Daniel U.
