Illustrator and letterer Jessica Hische's Daily Drop Cap project is the star of a new collection of stationery for The Luxe Project by Moo.com.
The project, which began back in 2009, saw Jessica create 12 complete illustrated alphabets made up of individual letters that she posted online one at a time every day. Those letters and alphabets were made available for people to use on their blogs, which Jessica hoped would "prettify the internet."
After making their way onto various iPhone cases, letterpress prints and more, Jessica's letter illustrations are now available as a customisable The Luxe Project stationery collection from Moo.com, which includes letterheads, notecards, business cards and minicards.
All of the net proceeds from sales of the Daily Drop Cap stationery collection will go to Jessica's chosen charity of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
In addition to her Daily Drop Cap project, Jessica has also worked for various clients including Starbucks, Tiffany & Co., The New York Times and Penguin Books. Back in 2011, we interviewed Jessica about lettering mistakes, why you should code and why cheap designers are like free sofas. Read the interview here.
