Since April 2013, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain presents a monographic exhibition devoted to the Australian artist Ron Mueck, following the success of the previous exhibition of his work in 2005. On this occasion Ron Mueck's imposing and disconcerting sculptures are displayed in all the exhibition spaces throughout the building, which was designed by Jean Nouvel.

Fondation Cartier published a comprehensive reference book specifically for the exhibition, covering the artist's twenty year career and presenting all his sculptures through numerous photographs and previously unpublished documents. Readers can explore Ron Mueck's creative process and get an intimate feel for it through shots of his studio, preparatory drawings and photographs of models. The book also spotlights the new sculptures created especially for the event through images from the Fondation Cartier exhibition. Contributions from art critics Robert Storr and Justin Paton shed new light on Ron Mueck's work while exploring the major themes underlying his art.
