Founded in 1914, The New Republic magazine was purchased about a year ago by Chris Hughes, the 29-year-old co-founder of Facebook. According to adweek.com,
the revamped New Republic brand includes a website, tablet app, audio versions of its articles and a live event platform.
The new publisher's rebranding also involved "hiring the magazine's first in-house art department." Dirk Barnett is Creative Director and Erick A. Fletes the Associate AD, with Ben Avny and Cameron L. Searcy listed as designers.
