When Google introduced Chrome in late 2008 they called on respected cartoonist family of four fonts not only gets heavier as you move from Regular to Extra Bold, but also larger, a typical trait of comic book lettering — shouting should be BIGGER!

McCloud's fonts are a clear, readable, approachable, authentic option for comic book typography (or indeed other kinds of handwriting) when custom lettering isn't possible. There's no excuse to fill your speech balloons with Comic Sans.
